Mr. and Mrs. Dirk David of Abbeville, are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Miss Claire Nicole David of Abbeville, to Mr. Travis James Thibodeaux of Broussard. Travis is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Thibodeaux of Broussard. The nuptial wedding ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville.

St. Paul’s Episcopal delivers 200 donated backpacks to Vermilion Parish School System

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church recently delivered 200 donated backpacks complete with school supplies for the upcoming school year. The church has donated filled backpacks to the students of Vermilion Parish for the past several years. Helping deliver the backpacks to the Vermilion Parish School System office were parishioners of St. Paul’s and student volunteers. Sacrament of Holy Matrimony Unites Miss Alison Marin Romero & Mr. Hunter James Terro

Miss Alison Marin Romero of Abbeville, Louisiana and Mr. Hunter James Terro of Rayne, Louisiana were united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony on August 5 at Saint Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Abbeville. Father Bill John Melancon officiated during the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jason Leonard Romero of Abbeville. Grandparents of the bride are Mrs. Renée Burke Stirling of Franklin, the late Mr. Thomas Keith Stirling, and the late Mr. Michael Arthur Burke, Sr. Also, Mrs. Dorothy Olander Romero of Abbeville and the late Mr. Norman John Romero.
